Moving Sharon's Boat, Part 2

It was a beautiful day to help out a friend.

Sharon needed to move her boat again, and since we had experience with this already (See previous post 'Moving Sharon's Boat') it seemed obvious that we help again.

It was somewhat difficult to coordinate, since Sharon works two full-time jobs, and her knee wasn't cooperating very well on the agreed-upon morning.  But we got together, and under way.

It was a most-of-the-day project, since it takes several hours to move Viking Star around the Portland area anyway, and we needed to use extra care with a tow in progress.

We had to dodge lots of traffic -- a barge coming down the Multnomah Channel just before we began, a big ship going down the Willamette and turning up the Columbia, and of course, the many sail boats enjoying the afternoon between the I-5 and I-205 bridges!

Sharon is delighted to have her boat now under cover at PacMar Marina, our old neighborhood!
